Established in 1995, the Hyderabad Circle of Agarwal
Professionals (HYCAP) was born from the vision of Dr. H.C. Garg, a distinguished
scientist and former Director of ADRIN (ISRO). Dr. Garg envisioned a platform where the
"intellectual capital" of the Agarwal community could be harnessed for social good.
The organization was established by a core "brain trust" of five founding pillars: Dr.
H.C. Garg (Mentor), Shri V.K. Roy Bansal (First President), Shri S.K. Tayal (First
Secretary), Shri S.P. Gupta, and Shri M.L. Mittal. Following the establishment of this
solid foundation, these founding members proposed and inducted further like-minded
professionals, creating the prestigious and influential network that HYCAP is today.
(Dr. H.C. Garg was a distinguished scientist and administrator at the Indian Space
Research Organisation (ISRO). Most notably, he served as the Director of ADRIN (Advanced
Data Processing Research Institute) during the mid-1990s. Under his leadership, ADRIN
evolved into a premier center for digital image processing and satellite data research,
playing a critical role in India’s space programs.)
The circle expanded its focus to cultural celebrations, family fellowship, and moral support, keeping Agarwal traditions and values alive across generations.
